IMMIGRATION OFFICER’S MURDER: SUSPECT ARRESTED
The Ghana Police Service has arrested one person in connection with the murder of Stephen King Amoah, an Immigration Officer whose burnt body was discovered in a gutter near GBC Satellite, Accra, on July 9, 2025.
According to the Police, Amoah had been missing since July 3, 2025, after he left his residence at Ashongman Estate to meet a suspect, Bright Aweh, who had promised to settle an outstanding amount. Aweh allegedly gave Amoah GHC 500,000 in cash, but investigations revealed inconsistencies in his statements, prompting the Police to arrest him.
The Accra Regional Police Command is investigating the circumstances surrounding Amoah’s death and assures the public that they are working to bring all perpetrators to justice. Anyone with information relevant to the case is urged to contact the nearest Police Station or call 18555 or 192.
