GPL Showdown: Accra Lions Seek Redemption Against Vision FC

Accra Lions, eager to bounce back from their season-opening defeat, host Premier League newcomers Vision FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 16, 2024. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m.

After a impressive campaign last season, Accra Lions stumbled in their opener, losing 1-0 to Medeama SC courtesy of Bernardinho Osah’s penalty. Now, they’re determined to get back on track against Vision FC.

The visitors, meanwhile, made a solid debut with a goalless draw against Berekum Chelsea. Coach Nana Agyemang is confident in his team’s ability to match Accra Lions’ playing style.

“Both teams like to build from the back and play through the phases,” Agyemang noted. “It’ll be an exciting game. We’ll mix things up, pressing high and dropping off depending on our personnel, especially up front.”
