Party Secrets Leaked: C/R NDC Chairman Vows to Tackle Confidentiality Issues

By: Kofi Tutu – Central Region

The Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu, has revealed that the main challenges he faces as the regional chairman are indiscipline, insubordination, and the unauthorized release of party secrets to the public after meetings with trusted party executives.

He expressed surprise that a political organization like the NDC is unable to maintain confidentiality after meetings, and as a result, he is working diligently to address these issues and make decisive decisions to resolve them.

Being a successful businessman, Prof. Asiedu stated that he will apply the same principles to his political position.

Prof. Asiedu made these revelations during a press conference held to highlight his accomplishments as the Central Regional Chairman of the NDC after one year in office…

Regarding his achievements, he mentioned successfully resolving numerous court cases involving the party in the region. He also addressed the issue of money extortion during parliamentary primaries, which has since been resolved.

He further discussed the victory in the Assin North by-election, the payment of salaries to staff at the party’s regional office, and other accomplishments.

He emphasized that despite the challenges within the party, there is unity, and he believes this unity will lead to success in the 2024 elections.

Finally, Prof. Asiedu stated that the NDC in the Central Region aims to win 20 out of the 23 seats in the region and secure 60 percent of the votes for their flagbearer, John Mahama, in the 2024 general elections.
