Once overly spiritual but now slaying for Christ – Diana Asamoah
Ghanaian gospel artist Diana Asamoah has opened up about the evolution of her dressing style in recent years.
She attributed this transformation to being influenced by a fellow man of God who, in her view, misunderstood the Bible.
During a recent interview with Berla Mundi, Asamoah explained that her choice of fashionable attire, expensive wigs, and stylish shoes is motivated by a desire to present God and the gospel in a more captivating light.
Despite having previously labeled women who wore trousers and certain clothes as “worldly,” she now acknowledges a need to rectify the misconceptions she inadvertently instilled about being a Christian.
As she delves into her changed wardrobe, Asamoah emphasized that her altered dressing reflects a deeper understanding of Christian principles.
She expressed a shift in perspective, recognizing that the aspects she once criticized, such as makeup, are now viewed as necessities in life.
“It is about growth in Christ Jesus.
We condemned makeup and other things we thought were worldly, but now we have seen the light and realized that being godly is more about your deeds than your looks.
I’m actively correcting the mistaken impressions and perceptions about being a Christian that I may have unintentionally implanted in people through my current fashion choices,” she stated.
