The BoG warns people about eight money transfer organizations that are not approved

The Bank of Ghana is warning people not to use eight unapproved Money Transfer Organizations (MTOs). According to a statement signed by Secretary Sandra Thompson (Ms), these MTOs, working in remittances and the Ghana Forex Market, don’t have approval from the Bank of Ghana.

These organisations are;

1- LEMFI

2- WISE

3- TRANSFER GO

4- XOOM-A PAYPAL SERVICE

5- SENDWALU

6- BOSS REVOLUTION

7- BTC-AZA FINANCE

8- SUPERSONIC

The Board of Governors (BoG) stated “the Public, Banks, Dedicated Electronic Money Issuers (DEMI), and Enhanced Payment Service Providers (EPSP) are, by this Notice, cautioned to desist from dealing with any of the institutions named above.”
