Mahama is a drunkard- Fifi Kwetey makes a U-turn.

In a surprising turn of events, Fiifi Kwettey, General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has backtracked on the party’s initial condemnation of Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea’s remarks against former President John Dramani Mahama.

Kwettey posted the original press statement on his Facebook wall, only to later urge Ghanaians to disregard it, saying it deserved “contempt”.

The initial statement had described Atta Akyea’s comments as “unsubstantiated and baseless” and demanded a retraction and apology. However, Kwettey’s sudden u-turn has left many wondering about the NDC’s true stance on the matter.

It remains unclear what prompted the NDC’s change of heart, but some speculate it may be a strategic move to avoid further escalation or to focus on more pressing campaign issues. The NDC has reaffirmed its commitment to a clean and respectful campaign, but the u-turn has raised questions about the party’s consistency and credibility.
