    Akufo-Addo, Annoh-Dompreh Illuminate Blue Sky

Thousands of supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP and sympathizers on Tuesday afternoon stormed the Blue-Skies Factory at Doboro in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency of the Eastern Region to welcome President Akufo-Addo during a visit to the juice factory.

The huge crowd was led by the Majority Chief Whip, also the Member of Parliament for the area, Frank Annoh-Dompreh and the constituency executives, who welcomed the President in a grand style.

Amidst the electrifying atmosphere of the factory which was turned into a rally grounds, President Akufo-Addo after a close-door meeting told the party members at the grounds that NPP was more than ready to secure victory in the upcoming elections.

The President in his address highlighted the party’s achievements and outlined its vision for the future, instilling confidence in the hearts of supporters.

President Akufo-Addo expressed his support for Dr Mahamadu Bawumia to be elected as the President of Ghana in the upcoming polls.

He also encourages the young Ghanaians who have reached the voting age to register and make their voices heard in the democratic process. As the country gears up for the December election, voter registration plays a crucial role in shaping the future leadership of Ghana.

President Akufo-Addo also made a subtle reference to his political opponent, hinting at criticisms of his administration. Without mentioning names, the President alluded to a contender who seems dissatisfied with his achievements since taking office.

Frank Annoh-Dompreh in his message urged the party members to work hard to make Dr Bawumia the next President of Ghana since the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has nothing to offer Ghanaians anymore after holding all the political positions in the country.

The Majority Chief Whip, Annoh-Dompreh told the party members that the main concern of the NPP heading into the 2024 general election is to stop the NDC flagbearer from winning the polls.

According to him, the NPP can break the 8-year electoral cycle in the 2024 general election, hence the need to bring all members on board to work together and get more votes for the NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Mr. Annoh-Dompreh added that the NPP government and his outfit have undertaken massive developmental projects in the constituency which are visible for everyone to see.

This, he believes, the constituents will consider and vote massively for the NPP.

However, the Majority Chief Whip, promised to make the Nsawam/Adoagyiri constituency a stronghold for the NPP in the upcoming and subsequent elections.

Nsawam Adoagyiri, Ghana – In a surprising announcement that has sent shockwaves through the political landscape, the Majority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has declared that the candidate who secures the highest number of votes in the selection of the first five out of the ten Special Collage elections of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will automatically become the party’s flagbearer for the 2024 general elections.

The announcement was made during a press conference held in Nsawam Adoagyiri on Saturday, August 26th, 2023, which was attended by party members, supporters, and the media.

Annoh-Dompreh, a prominent figure within the NPP, explained that this decision was taken to ensure a fair and transparent selection process for the party’s flagbearer. By allowing the popular vote to determine the flagbearer, the NPP aims to uphold the principles of democracy and give party members a direct say in choosing their leader.

The Special Collage elections, scheduled for Saturday, August 26th, 2023, will see ten candidates vying for the opportunity to represent the NPP in the upcoming general elections. The candidates have been campaigning vigorously across the country, presenting their visions and strategies to party members.

The declaration by Chief Whip Annoh-Dompreh has injected an additional layer of excitement and anticipation into the already heated race. The candidates will now have to intensify their efforts to secure as many votes as possible, as the stakes have been significantly raised.

Political analysts have noted that this move is unprecedented in Ghanaian politics and could potentially reshape the dynamics within the NPP. However, Annoh-Dompreh assured that the NPP leadership is committed to fostering unity and cohesion within the party, regardless of the election outcome.

Bawumia’s Lead Widens, Annoh Dompreh Affirms

Majority Chief Whip and MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dpmpreh has declared that Vice President Dr Mahamaudu Bawumia will win the upcoming Presidential primaries of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) hence appealing to the delegates to have faith in and vote for him massively to be the next flagbearer of the party.

He asserts that the Vice President is the only candidate who can even approach the NDC’s fortresses and deny them the opportunity to hijack the NPP’s status as the ruling party.

He made the comments when the Vice President stormed Adogyirie/Nsawam on Tuesday, as part of his campaign tour in the Region to meet the NPP delegates.

At Adoagyiri, St Martin Senior High School, a large crowd of NPP members including delegates besieged there to welcome the Vice President by giving him a warm reception.

    Addressing the party members, Annoh-Dompreh
argued that the Vice President, who stands out among the other candidates, is currently the party’s last chance, so it is necessary to give him the leading role over the party so that he can win the 2024 elections.

Annoh-Dompreh noted that in Ghana, presidential candidates defeat their opponents with just 3% of the vote and that, in his opinion, only Dr Bawumia has the drive to give the NPP that edge.

He said that the delegates in all 16 of the regions are pleading with voters to choose Bawumia as the flagbearer and end the 8-year jinx on the political sphere.

Majority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh Dompreh said, he does not doubt that the next general elections will come down to a fierce contest between former President John Dramani Mahama and the current vice president.

He believes that the main opposition political party is afraid of Dr Bawumia and calling for a particular candidate in the NPP.

He has therefore called on all delegates who will vote in the flagbearer elections of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to vote for Dr Bawumia and stand resolute with him.

Political Stalling: NDC Accused of Playing Hide and Seek by Majority Chief Whip in Parliament

The Majority in Parliament has accused the Minority of engaging in obstructive political tactics and prioritizing their own interests over those of the country. The Minority has been continuously boycotting sittings of the House, leaving the building after registering their names to prevent a quorum for proceedings.

Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the chief whip for the Majority, expressed his dissatisfaction with the Minority’s actions. He questioned whether they were fulfilling their duty as representatives of the people. Annoh-Dompreh pointed out that the Minority MPs were selectively choosing when to participate in parliamentary business, which is unacceptable.

Annoh-Dompreh emphasized that the Ghanaian Parliament is responsible for conducting both government and private business. He criticized the Minority for raising the issue of quorum but not enforcing it when their members raised a matter of urgent public importance. He called on the Minority to adopt a more principled position instead of engaging in picking and choosing tactics.

Dr. Ato Forson, the Minority Leader, defended the boycotts of House sittings. He argued that the Majority has enough MPs to form a quorum without the support of the Minority. Forson stated that the NDC should not be expected to do government business for the NPP while they are campaigning and using government resources. He urged the Majority to come to the floor and do their business for the benefit of all Ghanaians.

In response to the escalating persecution of their colleague, James Gyakye Quayson, Forson warned that the NDC would no longer announce their approach in the future. He emphasized that all options are on the table on a daily basis. The NDC is determined not to compromise and expects the Majority to prioritize the interests of the country.
