 Candidate Profiles & Analysis

– Bryan Acheampong (42%) – His rise is driven by a message of discipline, unity, and renewal. As a former Minister of Food and Agriculture and MP for Abetifi, he is seen as a leader who understands both government machinery and private enterprise. His coalition of support from MPs and grassroots activists has transformed him into the candidate with the strongest momentum.

– Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (32%) – Once the dominant frontrunner, Bawumia’s support has steadily declined. His base of April backers has fragmented, with many undecided or shifting to Bryan. His challenge is to re-energize his campaign and reconnect with delegates who feel fatigued by the status quo.

– Kennedy Agyapong (25%) – Kennedy’s grassroots appeal remains strong, but his decline shows Bryan pulling directly from his support base. His fiery style has resonated in past contests, but sustaining momentum against Bryan’s disciplined, structured campaign is proving difficult.  With a few days to the Presidential elections, these results puts Bryan in poll position as he criss-crosses the country in a last minute effort to cross the 50% mark . Analysts believe this is the closest NPP primaries in recent times .
