Ignore the NDC and NPP Propaganda, Vote for Me to Bring Prosperity to Ghana – Alan Kyerematen

By James Kumi-Korsah

Kumasi, Ghana – Alan Kyerematen, leader of the Afrafranto Alliance and presidential candidate of the Movement for Change, has dismissed claims by his opponents in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that voting for him is futile. Addressing viewers on Oyerpa TV and Ezra TV in separate interviews in Kumasi on November 18, 2024, he described the propaganda as a desperate attempt to dissuade Ghanaians from electing a leader capable of transforming the nation.

According to Alan Kyerematen, recent polls by reputable organizations reveal that about 80% of Ghanaians desire change and want a leader with integrity, character, and a plan to fix the country’s broken economy. He urged voters to reject the false claims that he cannot win, stating, “They know I am the one who can fix Ghana’s problems, so why are they saying I won’t win? Are we not all looking for someone who can solve our economic challenges? Ignore the propaganda that if you vote for me, I won’t win. If the 80% of Ghanaians who want change vote for me, then I will win. If you vote for me and everyone else who wants change votes for me, won’t I win?”

Alan Kyerematen assured Ghanaians that voting for him would not amount to wasting their votes. “One is said to waste their vote when they vote for someone with great expectations, only for that person to fail to deliver on their promises. Over the years, you voted for presidential candidates who promised to create jobs for you, but after several years, you are still unemployed. You voted for them to fix your roads, but the roads remain untouched. That is what truly constitutes a wasted vote. I am here to deliver, not to fail,” he affirmed.

He criticized the NDC and NPP for failing to deliver meaningful progress after 32 years of shared governance in the Fourth Republic, with each party ruling for 16 years. “What they have managed to achieve cumulatively in 32 years is the kind of economic stagnation we see today,” he said. Alan Kyerematen added that it is clear neither party has fresh ideas to improve the lives of Ghanaians, emphasizing that their manifestos fall short of addressing the country’s pressing needs.

Highlighting his lifelong commitment to economic development, Alan Kyerematen recalled his tenure at Empretec and Enterprise Africa, where he supported the establishment of over 60% of Ghana’s leading companies. These companies, he noted, currently employ hundreds of thousands of Ghanaians, making him the most experienced candidate when it comes to job creation.

He also expressed dismay at how the NDC and NPP have shifted from presenting concrete solutions to engaging in public debates over who is more corrupt. “After 32 years, instead of showing policy prescriptions to tackle corruption, they are busy accusing each other of being more corrupt. This is why I am offering a government of national unity that will run the country based on a comprehensive plan,” Alan Kyerematen stated.

The Afrafranto leader touted his Great Transformational Plan (GTP), which outlines practical policies to address the nation’s challenges. He stressed that fixing the macroeconomy is central to his agenda, as it is the foundation for achieving sustainable growth in the agricultural, industrial, and tourism sectors. These, he said, would generate millions of jobs for the youth and restore hope to Ghanaian families.

Alan Kyerematen reassured Ghanaians of his unblemished reputation for integrity, declaring, “I have never been corrupt, and I will never be corrupt. Ghanaians deserve a leader they can trust, and I have demonstrated that trust throughout my career.” The enthusiastic response on social media and across the country following his interviews indicates how strongly his words resonated with the audience.

In his closing remarks, Alan Kyerematen appealed to Ghanaians to rise above party lines and vote for the future they deserve. “This is not just another election; it is a defining moment for our nation. Ignore the propaganda. Vote for a leader with integrity, vision, and the proven ability to deliver results. Vote for me, and together, we will transform our economy and bring prosperity to Ghana,” he concluded.
