PRISON OFFICER LYNCHED AT KASOA

A chilling crime has shaken the Central Region, specifically Ironcity, a suburb of Kasoa in the Awutu Senya Municipality. Gideon Adu Boakye, a prison officer stationed at Nsawam Prisons, was brutally murdered, leaving his family and community in despair.

On Monday morning, personnel from the Ngleshie Amanfro District Police Command retrieved Boakye’s body from a gutter near the Hope of Restoration School, just streets away from his home. Severe machete wounds were evident, but his identity was unknown until his family reported him missing on Tuesday.

According to Eric Akoto, a family spokesperson, Boakye had returned home to spend the weekend with his mother but failed to return after stepping out on Sunday morning. His phone was unreachable, prompting the family to file a report with the police.

The family suspects a deliberate orchestration behind Boakye’s murder and is urging state security agencies to conduct swift investigations and apprehend the perpetrators. Neighbors have joined the call for justice, describing Boakye as a calm and gentle individual.

As the community mourns, the police continue their investigation. The incident raises concerns about safety and security in the region.

Calls for Justice
