Nigerian Arrested for Slashing Colleague’s Throat with Bottle in Budumburam

In a shocking incident, a Nigerian man has been arrested by police in the Central Region for brutally attacking his colleague at Buduburam in the Gomoa East District.

According to eyewitnesses, the suspect, identified as Derry, slashed his colleague, Nann, multiple times with a broken bottle during an argument in their apartment on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. The victim was left in a state of unconsciousness and was rushed to the ST Gregory Catholic Hospital in Buduburam with the help of neighbors.

Derry attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by police and brought before the Ofaakor Circuit Court. He was remanded into police custody for two weeks and is scheduled to appear in court on July 1, 2024.

The victim is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, and the incident has sent shockwaves through the community. Police are investigating the motives behind the attack and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
