The Ministry of National Security has embarked on a nationwide sensitization campaign, “See Something, Say Something,” to educate Ghanaians on the dangers of extremist activities and the importance of reporting suspicious behavior to prevent terrorist attacks.

The campaign, which has reached the Savannah region, aims to engage citizens in enhancing national security by encouraging them to report unusual activities, suspicious behavior, or unattended items in public places. The goal is to create a more secure environment by involving communities in efforts to prevent criminal activities and promote public safety.

In the Savannah region, the team interacted with traditional authorities, opinion leaders, security agencies, students, market traders, and others, educating them on the warning signs of terrorist activities and the importance of swift reporting.

Kester Osei, a team member, expressed delight at the exercise, while Ibrahim Seidu, the Savannah Regional Larson Officer for the National Security Ministry, emphasized the impact of the campaign on residents and urged them to implement the teachings to ensure a safer and stable Ghana.

Beneficiaries of the exercise expressed gratitude to the government and the Ministry of National Security for the initiative, recognizing the importance of collective effort in preventing terrorist attacks.

Ghana remains on high alert, and citizens are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities. The “See Something, Say Something” campaign is a crucial step in promoting national security and preventing extremist activities.
