Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia Embarks on Working Visit to Italy and Vatican State

In a bid to strengthen the enduring relations between Ghana, Italy, and the Vatican State, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia departed Ghana last night for a working visit to the two nations.
According to a press release signed by Gideon Boako, Ph.D, Spokesperson to the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia’s visit aims to further deepen the bonds between Ghana and its international partners.
During his time in Italy and the Vatican State, Dr. Bawumia is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with high-ranking officials, including a meeting with His Holiness Pope Francis. The Pope’s message of love, mercy, and inclusion has resonated globally, and the meeting will highlight shared principles of peace, justice, and solidarity to guide us towards a better future.
The Vice President was accompanied by some government officials and is expected to return to Ghana on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
This diplomatic visit is part of Dr. Bawumia’s efforts to strengthen connections with the global community and promote Ghana’s interests abroad.
