Allegations of poisoning: John Kumah’s Wife lodges complain against Captain Smart

Apostle Mrs. Lilian Kumah, the wife of the late Deputy Minister for Finance, John Kumah, has officially lodged a complaint at the Greater Accra Regional Police Headquarters against Blessed Godsbrain Smart, a journalist with Onua TV. This comes in response to claims made by Captain Smart regarding the death of her husband.

In a viral video, Captain Smart alleged that certain individuals within the ruling New Patriotic Party were responsible for poisoning the Ejisu legislator, resulting in his passing on Thursday, March 7, 2024. He also claimed that other prominent party members, including former Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, MP for Asante Akyem North Andy Appiah Kubi, and Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, had been targets of poisoning attempts.

Mrs. Kumah’s complaint to the police highlights the distress caused by these false claims, adding unnecessary pain to their mourning process. She has requested an investigation into Captain Smart’s allegations, emphasizing the importance of uncovering the truth and holding accountable those responsible for spreading misinformation.
