Only Parliament can alter Majority leadership, says Joseph Osei-Owusu

The parliamentary majority is vehemently opposed to any proposed changes in their caucus leadership, expressing strong resistance to such endeavors.

Speculation and gossip are widespread concerning the potential removal of Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, with suggestions circulating about the potential elevation of his Deputy, Alexander Afenyo-.

Indeed, during Monday’s National Council and NEC meeting of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the potential leadership change was listed on the agenda. However, no definitive action was agreed upon.

Speaking to reporters within Parliament, a coalition of NPP MPs, under the leadership of First Deputy Speaker Joseph Osei-Owusu, issued a stern caution against any alterations.

They emphasized their unwavering stance that any attempts to modify the current leadership, helmed by Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, would not be tolerated, expressing complete satisfaction with their current performance.
