President Akufo-Addo Confirms The Metro Lens’ Predicted Ministerial Reshuffle List
The long-anticipated ministerial reshuffle has taken place, confirming the predictions made by The Metro Lens Newspaper. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the presidency have announced a list of ministers who have been reshuffled. Notably, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has been relieved of his duties, along with Road Minister Kwame Amoako-Atta, Health Minister Kwaku Agyemang Manu, and Interior Minister Ambrose Dery.
In a significant shake-up, Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah will now head the Housing Ministry, while his deputy, Fatimatu Abubakar, will assume the role of substantive Minister.
This reshuffle has affected approximately 13 ministers of state, including 10 cabinet ministers and two regional ministers.
On Wednesday, February 14, the presidency issued a press release detailing the ministers who have been sacked, reassigned, and newly appointed.
There has been mounting pressure on President Akufo-Addo to dismiss Ken Ofori-Atta, with some Majority MPs also adding their voices to the chorus. However, in October 2022, the President defended his cousin, stating that there was no valid reason to remove him. He praised Ofori-Atta’s excellent performance in his role and expressed his reluctance to dismiss such a capable individual.
The President’s decision to reshuffle the cabinet reflects his commitment to address concerns and ensure effective governance in the country.
