Nsawam-Adoagyiri Chiefs Advocate Unopposed for Annoh-Dompreh, Petition NPP Leadership

Prominent leaders in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency are urging the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to safeguard the interests of high-performing Members of Parliament in the forthcoming Parliamentary primaries.

Approximately 15 chiefs and sub chiefs from Adoagyiri, Dobro, Daamang, Ahwerease, Yaw Gyan, Chinto, Duayeden, Ahodwo, Ntoaso, Okobeyeyie, Sakyikrom, Oparekrom, and other areas have united in this cause.

During a press conference in Nsawam, Nana Opare Odei II, the chief of Okobeyeyie, emphasized the need to protect Frank Annoh Dompreh, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam/Adoagyiri and the Majority Chief Whip. The chiefs are urging the National Executive of the NPP to exempt Mr. Annoh Dompreh from facing any challengers.

According to the chiefs, Annoh Dompreh has surpassed the expectations of his constituents and garnered the admiration of traditional leaders in the constituency through his exceptional development initiatives. They highlighted his remarkable achievements in education, healthcare, rural electrification, sanitation, sports, rural telephony, and employment, labeling them as unparalleled.

“Under his leadership, Nsawam Adoagyiri is already on a trajectory of progress. We require him to concentrate on his ongoing endeavors without having to divert his attention towards campaigning for primaries,” emphasized the chiefs.

They are urging the NPP hierarchy to ensure that Frank Annoh Dompreh remains unopposed in the upcoming Parliamentary primaries to prevent any disruption to the ongoing development projects.
