Bawumia Campaign Denounces Malicious Propaganda Video

By: Isaac Boamah Darko

The Bawumia campaign team has strongly condemned a video circulating on social media, which depicts unidentified individuals stockpiling cash in an undisclosed location. The video is accompanied by a caption alleging that the cash is intended to influence delegates to vote for Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming election.

In a press release issued today, the campaign team clarified that the video is nothing more than malicious propaganda. It has been revealed that this video is an old one, originally circulated in 2020 during the lead-up to the previous elections. The opponents of Dr. Bawumia have repurposed the video, adding a misleading caption, and are now widely circulating it.

The Bawumia campaign team has expressed their utmost contempt for this malicious propaganda, urging all stakeholders to treat it with the same level of disdain. They emphasize that Dr. Bawumia’s campaign has been conducted in an extremely frugal manner, as attested to by the delegates themselves.

Furthermore, the team calls upon the campaigns of other contestants, who can be clearly identified in the captioning and circulation of this video, to engage in honest and decent campaigns, devoid of lies and mudslinging. It is through such a decent campaign that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will benefit.

Attached to the press release is the original story from 2020, which sheds light on the stockpile of cash and its context at that time.

The Bawumia campaign team remains focused on their goal of securing a resounding endorsement in the upcoming election. They are confident that their signal is strong and believe that victory is within reach.

Signed by Gideon Boako, Ph.D, Spokesperson to the Vice President, the press release concludes with an optimistic note, stating that success is indeed possible for the Bawumia campaign.
