Adadientemhene To Hold Vigil In Honor Of Dr. JB Danquah

Adadientem, February 4, 2026 – The Adadientemhene, Barima Ofori Asante, will today hold a vigil in honor of the late Dr. JB Danquah, a founding father of modern Ghana. The vigil, which will take place at the JB Danquah Roundabout on Okyenhene Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin Street in Adadientem, will begin at 7:00 PM.

The event is part of a series of activities being held to commemorate the 61st anniversary of Dr. Danquah’s passing. On Sunday, February 1, 2026, the Mefri Adadientem Walk took place, bringing together residents and sympathizers to celebrate the life and legacy of the statesman.

Unveiling of JB Danquah Statue

The unveiling of a statue of Dr. JB Danquah is scheduled for February 7, 2026. The ceremony will be graced by the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, as the special guest of honor.
