Bryan Acheampong: I am for Bold and Action Leadership
Nkwatia, Eastern Region – 17 September 2025 – At an engagement with the Eastern Regional media, Dr. Bryan Acheampong has reaffirmed his reputation as a bold, results-driven leader whose decisions have delivered tangible benefits for Ghana.
“Ghana doesn’t need more talk, it needs work. Ideas are important, but without action they are just words in the wind. While others are still discussing what could be done, I am already doing it. I believe in delivering results you can see, touch, and feel, because our people deserve progress, not promises,” Dr. Acheampong told journalists.
Throughout his public service, he has consistently translated vision into measurable outcomes and taken bold decisions to address real challenges.
As Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr. Acheampong championed the cancellation of the cocoa syndication loan, a move many considered risky, but which has already paid off. “This decision has saved the country significant costs, strengthened our financial position, and shown that with courage and clarity, we can chart our own course,” he said. He noted that COCOBOD has since confirmed receiving over $4 billion from international cocoa buyers to start the 2025/26 season ensuring farmers are paid on time without resorting to expensive external loans.
Dr. Acheampong also pointed to his bold agricultural infrastructure initiatives, including the expansion of irrigation projects to boost year-round farming and the commissioning of a 60,000 metric tonnes capacity grain silo, one of the largest in Ghana, to improve food security and reduce post-harvest losses.
He emphasised that his leadership is about taking decisive action, cleaning up the swamp both in governance and within his own party, and restoring integrity, discipline, and a renewed focus on service to the people.
In the coming days, Dr. Acheampong will commence a nationwide tour, beginning in Abirem in Eastern Region with stops also in Ashanti and Greater Accra Regions to engage directly with communities, share his vision, and listen to the priorities of Ghanaians.
“This tour is about connecting with people where they live and work, understanding their needs, and showing them that leadership is about doing, not just talking,” he added.
The Bryan Acheampong campaign remains committed to building a united party and a prosperous Ghana through practical solutions, strategic investments, and unwavering service.
