Eschew Racism in NPP’s Politics…But Idiots Are What They Are!

By Fadi Dabbousi

When a foolish diplomat unrobes his decorum, if he ever has any, it becomes a hopeless case to try to decipher what at all must be going on in his senseless brain. Then again, we cannot expend precious energy to justify the pros and cons of insensitive foolhardiness because campaigning on racism is a point of failure to begin with.

From failed Minister to disoriented High Commissioner, Cheremeh has finally clambered out of the fake façade he tried to gallivant his way through Ghana’s political terrain with and dive into the gutter that he has always belonged to. Such pernicious bigotry against the Fulani tribe or any other for that matter can only emanate from the frustration of an ostrich that habitually buries its head in the sand leaving a whole arse stuck up in the air for the hens to pick on.

Why, who hasn’t seen the gallantry of Kwame Nkrumah? Was he married to a lady from Cheremeh’s backyard? No, he was married to a white (obroni) Egyptian! How about the late Kofi Anan, who was under pressure to run for President of Ghana, which most Ghanaians hailed? Wasn’t he married to an obroni woman (white woman)? Was it then alright to do so? What has changed all of a sudden? How about Alassane Ouattara, is he married to a lady from Bondouku (an Ivorian town next to Ghana’s Sampa)? No, he is married to an Obroni (white) French Lady. How about my late icon, Robert Mogabe? He was married to a Ghanaian lady! So where did Cheremeh get into his coconut head that a flagbearer hopeful, once the Vice President of our country, does not qualify for the elections simply because he is married to a fully bred Ghanaian lady of exquisite elegance, who hails from pure Ghanaian ancestry even though it maybe Fulani?

It does not make sense. But, lately, in NPP, what makes sense at all? The Party needs strong leadership to wind the elephant back onto the winning track; that is after treating her gangrene lest the festered sores of hatred and bigotry cause painful amputations that will lead her into relegation even beyond the backburner. I am calling on my friend Kennedy Agyepong to tighten his knobs and make the easy decision to sack cheremeh before he takes his camp down. As it stands, I doubt if Kennedy can galvanise 20% of the delegates to vote for him with the trajectory that his people are directing the campaign on!

Word of caution, if anyone comes out to insult me, I will certainly tell them why their eyes are brown and black!

Back to Cheremeh, how can anyone take this “lighthead” seriously? What black heart will make a man campaign against his own blood brother to make him lose the parliamentary seat? This is one man who has no sense of purpose, having divided his own region and turned friend to foe, brother to enemy, and families to feuding clans! He seems bereft of any form of conscience that may otherwise hound him for the wickedness that streams leisurely in his green blood.

Fulanis are over a million strong in Ghana, and most of them are ancestrally Ghanaian. Blended into societies that eventually formed nations with a healthy balance of cultures and traditions, many tribes and clans have integrated over centuries in different domiciles while maintaining their heritage, like the Armenians in Lebanon, and the Lebanese in Ghana, the latter having totally assimilated into Ghanaian societies for close to two centuries, my father being one, making his home in Abetifi for a few years in the early 1950s as he worked at Nkawkaw zongo junction. Just like the many tribes that form the larger Ghanaian society, Fulanis are no different.

Samira Bawumia is a well-mannered lady more Ghanaian than Cheremeh whose ancestors hail from the Eastern enclave of Ivory Coast, as we know it today. He cannot be more Ghanaian than Kojo Choi, for example, who managed a perfect integration into Ghanaian society over a period of forty years, or my forefathers who made Ghana their home over a century ago. Yes, you can kiss ECG’s biggest transformer and get romanced by the massive voltage for all I care, but the truth is what it must be, like the libido of a newly married man in the early hours of dawn, stiff and directionally on point!

I have observed how some charlatans talk about Samira, but I tell you, in all honesty, if they can talk about a lady so vilely, then their mothers cannot be far from the repugnance that they dastardly want to attack our former second lady with. Let all be on notice that women do not deserve to be treated with such stomach-churning disrespect as someone once told a lady he had an affair with, “wo twƐ sƆ sƆ tesƐ nesri mirik (nestle milk)!

Shame on them. I cringe at the thought that due to their inability to soil Dr Bawumia with their fecal utterances, they now find Samira an easier target to get to him; or so they think! Beautiful Samira, by all means a chaste lady of very high attributes will not go down at all with such beakless chicken pecking at the soles of her feet!
