Mahama Appoints Kofi Boakye as Director of Operations

President John Mahama has announced a series of key appointments within the National Security apparatus. The changes are expected to enhance the effectiveness of security operations and ensure the safety of citizens across the country.

Former Chief of Staff, Prosper Douglas Bani, has been appointed as the National Security Advisor to the President. Bani, who previously served as the Minister for the Interior, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. His extensive background in public service is expected to play a crucial role in shaping national security policies.

In addition, Deputy Chief of Police (DCOP) Abdul-Osman Razak has been appointed as the National Security Coordinator. In this capacity, Razak will be responsible for ensuring a cohesive strategy across all security initiatives, fostering collaboration among various security agencies.

Retired Commissioner of Police (COP) Nathan Kofi Boakye has been named the Director of Operations at the Presidency. Boakye will oversee operational effectiveness in security matters, ensuring that security protocols are not only established but also effectively implemented.

Furthermore, Charles Kipo has been appointed as the Director General of the National Intelligence Bureau. Kipo’s leadership is anticipated to enhance intelligence gathering and analysis, which are critical components in preempting security threats.
