Kofata builds State-of-the-Art ICT Centre for Ayirebi SHS

Business Mogul, Emmanuel Bright Obeng Nyarko, also known as Great Kofata, has commissioned a state-of-the-art Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) center at Ayirebi Senior High School in the Akyemansa district of the Eastern Region. The multi-million dollar facility, named the “Obaapanin Rosina Akyaa Nyarko (Oyikwanpa) ICT Centre” in memory of his late mother, was inaugurated on June 1, 2024, as part of the school’s 30th anniversary celebrations.

The ICT center is equipped with 70 computers, furniture, accessories, a server, a printer, a projector, an automatic electric projector screen, and internet connectivity, providing students with a conducive environment for academic research and learning. This is the fourth ICT center constructed by Great Kofata in the district since 2019, with the others located at Akyem Bontodiase, Asuboa, and Akyem Adwafo.

The facility was commissioned in the presence of notable dignitaries, including the Deputy Minister of Education, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour; the Member of Parliament for Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency and Minister of Works and Housing, Kojo Vincent Oppong Nkrumah; the District Chief Executive Officer, Paul Asamoah; the Regional Education Director, Mrs. Ivy Asantewaa; the District Education Director, Mrs. Joyce Afriyie Agyepong; and Prof. Robert Andrews Ghanney, a renowned academician.

Great Kofata emphasized the importance of prioritizing ICT education to foster research, teaching, and learning in high schools, highlighting the need for practical ICT education to achieve the country’s digitalization agenda. He also called on the private sector to support the provision of infrastructure and services to complement the government’s efforts.

Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, the Deputy Minister of Education, commended Great Kofata for his contribution to bridging the digital divide and empowering students through access to ICT education and information. He emphasized the importance of granting access to education and empowering young people to become productive citizens.

The headmaster of Ayirebi Senior High School, Mr. William Amewuho, expressed gratitude to Great Kofata for his support and promised to ensure the facility is used wisely to advance society. He also highlighted the need for stakeholders to address the challenges facing the institution.

Great Kofata was honored by the school authorities for his dedication to the district’s growth, particularly in education. The Chief Executive of the Akyemansa District Assembly, Paul Asamoah, and the Member of Parliament for Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency, Kojo Vincent Oppong Nkrumah, commended Great Kofata for his commitment to the district’s development and urged other resourceful individuals to contribute to the progress of the district.”
