Gomoa Fetteh, Ghana – The 2nd All Ministers Conference (AMC) concluded on Friday, September 22, with over 2000 Reverend Ministers and Christian Leaders issuing a communique highlighting the critical role of the Church in the development agenda of the nation. The conference, held at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) in Gomoa Fetteh, was organized by The Church of Pentecost (CoP) as a follow-up to the National Development Conference held in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under the theme, \u201cMoral Vision and National Development: The Role of The Church,\u201d the conference aimed to emphasize the importance of the Church\u2019s impact on society. Representatives from various Christian Ecumenical Councils, including Protestant, Catholic, Pentecostal, and Charismatic Churches, as well as Para-Church Organizations, came together to discuss and address key issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The communique highlighted several key points, including the integration of faith and daily life, the need for Christians to positively influence society, and the importance of character alongside charisma. The conference also emphasized the significance of biblical integrity in all spheres of national life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, the communique stressed the necessity for Christians to actively participate in politics, calling for an intentional, well-coordinated, and strategic approach to political engagement at all levels of governance. The conference also emphasized the use of effective evangelism, discipleship, and cell group systems as tools for sustainable church growth and the development of Christlike individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding the Church\u2019s role in combating corruption, the communique called for the embrace of faith and love as the antidote to this societal issue. It also highlighted the importance of integrating faith formation, formal education, and service in the educational system to produce morally sound citizens for national development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The communique concluded with recommendations for the Church\u2019s future actions. It urged the intentional support of political actors with proven moral standards, the inclusion of morality in the educational structure, and investments in building the capacity of Christlike and morally sound media personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye, President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) and Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, signed the communique on behalf of all participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
